It's a good start, but I think it needs work. The primary is the best mark, however I think you could lose one of the outlines. Also the shading seems random. Pick one spot where the light is coming from, and shade only the on side. As of now the shading is all over the place. The secondary is a good idea, but not well executed. It looks like the hat is sort of slapped on the V, when it should look like the V is wearing it. Also I would think about adding a third logo, maybe a lumberjack? The two V logos is just a tad on the boring side. A dynamic logo with some action could really bring the set up.
Needs stripes. No but really, I pretty much echo what Kevin said. The shadowing and highlighting is way off, for example on the left side of the hat there is a shadow, but directly underneath it there is a highlight? I'm not really sold as these being hockey logos. Just fix the shadows/highlights and beef them lines up a bunch. Maybe make a logo without a V too? Idk, awesome start.
